Common Centaury (Centaurium Erythraea)

I like looking into the history and folklore of wild flowers and their use for medicinal purposes.

During mediaeval times, centaury was dried to make into an infusion tonic to purify the blood, liver and kidneys and to aid digestion.
Saxon herbalists prescribed centaury for snake-bites and other poisons.
Centaury is used today in teas, oils, tinctures, drops and can be found in other herbal products.
